Voice, Piano Instructor
Gia Spiotti is a Boston-based composer, vocalist, and music educator who is passionate about helping students discover the joy of making music. She believes that a teacher’s most important job is to inspire a lifelong love of learning and music.
Gia holds an M.M. in Music Composition and Theory from Longy School of Music, which she completed in May 2026. She also earned a B.M. in Music Composition and Theory with a Mezzo-Soprano Emphasis from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford.
As a teacher of both voice and piano, Gia tailors her lessons to each student’s individual interests, goals, and learning style. She combines technique, music theory, exercises, games, and conversation to create lessons that are both fun and educational while helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
Gia believes that expression informs technique. Her lessons are designed to help students develop dependable technical skills that give them the freedom and confidence to express their own unique artistry. She also believes that a deep understanding of musical concepts empowers students, so she encourages them to become thoughtful, independent musicians through experimentation, discovery, and a strong foundation in music theory.
Above all, Gia believes that music education should be a positive and uplifting experience. She wants every student to leave their lesson feeling excited about music, proud of their progress, and good about themselves.
Gia is excited to bring her creativity, enthusiasm, and expertise in composition, voice, piano, and music theory to the MJ’s Music School community!
