“If a student comes to me passionate and committed, I am willing to go on any musical journey they wish whether it be classical, contemporary, jazz, or fiddle; even if the student does not have a strong musical direction, I promise to ignite that passion and help them find their way.”
Having taught privately for the last seven years, Rachael aims to inspire her students with the love and joy of music, and help them perform to the best of their abilities. Rachael believes in teaching her students a strong foundation in the art of violin playing by way of the Suzuki method. Rachael also uses the Galamian method of violin playing for her more advanced students. While Rachael uses standard methods of violin teaching, she is committed to helping each individual student develop their own personal style. “If a student comes to me passionate and committed, I am willing to go on any musical journey they wish whether it be classical, contemporary, jazz, or fiddle; even if the student does not have a strong musical direction, I promise to ignite that passion and help them find their way.” Rachael also has a strong passion for teaching children with autism and special needs. Rachael has experience with teaching ages as young as four all the way up to adults.
“My personal philosophy on performing is; at the end of the day, it does not matter if I performed every note perfectly. What matters is that I gave my audience a gift that will touch their hearts, something that they can keep even after I play my last note.”
