“I began my music studies at the age of 7, and a lot of my current teaching philosophy has been greatly influenced by my own educational experiences as a child. I believe that students are never too young for a technical and accurate approach. At the same time, music lessons don’t have to be scary or daunting. I find that many teachers tend to underestimate their students, so I make a great effort to encourage my students to go further than even they think they can.”
Aubrey’s piano, violin, and voice students have been of diverse ages and experience levels. Depending on the goals of the student, together they work out a personalized curriculum that is beneficial and efficient. Students can expect to improve in music literacy, sight-reading, ear training, knowledge of different musical styles, chord building and reading, and holistic musicianship.
